    Brutal Arena - Gareth Lockett

Brutal Arena is a 100% FREE, local multiplayer, action arena game for the OUYA.

Brutal Arena is a fun, lowest-common-denominator, local multiplayer action arena.
Simply have your character grab a weapon as fast as possible and blow the other players away!
Makes a great Friday-night-beer-and-pizza game with friends.

Although technically still in beta (More playable characters, levels, weapons, and game types to come) Brutal Arena currently supports:
    • Up to 4 human players
    • 6 playable characters
    • 4 game types
    • 6 arena levels
    • A built in controller mapping utility

For more information check out the Brutal Arena development blog at www.brutalarena.com

    Enjoy!

Hey! I like beer and pizza and blowing up my friends! We'll have to give it a spin this weekend.
    DrnkPnk says, "Obey The Beard!"
I helped create a mini-game in Explosive Dinosaurs. Otakupunk played it, and now you can too!

The game looks pretty fun. Is it only local multi-player though, or are there bots? I have no one to play with :/

Yes only local multiplayer (For now)

There are AI bots. Although they aren't that smart (Eg see them plummet into the fiery abyss on the 'Lava' level )

I'm currently working on improving the AI code but it's a fine balance between having them do dumb things and making them too good

Just in time for Halloween, a new Brutal Arena version is now available.

It adds 2 new spooky characters and a frightening level

Available for free in the OUYA store now or grab the .apk and experimental PC/Mac/Linux versions from the Brutal Arena development blog.

    Thanks for trying it out.

Do you know what brand/type of controller it is?

I'm looking to add built in support for "Rock Candy Gamepad for PS3" and a some generic USB controllers in the next update.

Early Christmas gift - Brutal Arena 1.3.6

    This version adds:
    - Level bosses
    - New menus and groovy theme tune
    - Weapon tweaks (Weight, fire rate, damage etc)
As well as the usual 'under the hood' improvements.

Brutal Arena 1.3.6 should update in the OUYA Discover section in the next few days or else you can grab the .apk (Or Win/Mac/Linux versions) from the development blog.

Happy Christmas and merry New Year!
