Elementary, My Dear Holmes Project Has Been Suspended by Kickstarter

UPDATE: It's no longer a rumor. Funding has been suspended by Kickstarter for this project.

Guys, I am hearing a rumor that Elementary, My Dear Homes (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...my-dear-holmes) has been deemed a fake by Kickstarter. We should get an official notice sometime later today.....

Will keep you updated on this, but it looks like they won't be getting away with raising fake funds.

I feel like we're in that episode of Looney Toons where Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck were trying to change which season it was so they wouldn't get hunted. Today it seems like it's "Holmes" season.

Here we go all over again...

They've put a lot of effort in for that to be a scam...

How was this determined to be a scam, but that football game wasn't? How does kickstarter make the determination, and what does Ouya do to contend it? I'm really curious.

Perhaps Scam isn't the right word. However, I believe it has been determined that the game broke Kickstarter Rules (most likely for self funding with fake accounts).

Perhaps the jury is still out on that one. Perhaps they will be next. I've heard some shady stuff about the Gridiron guys as well.

Gridiron Thunder has not done anything wrong (that we know of yet). They had friends with money. That does not break any rules.
But we'll have to see what Kickstarter has to say, they may find self funding then it's game over.

From the looks of it, it will be a bunch of fake accounts and self funding. Been following the FTG projects and that seems to be the prevailing thought.
Seems like a lot of effort to pull that off if true though.

Well, the only thing I find suspicious about this project is that when you multiply the cost per perk times the number of respective backers and add that all up, you get 34315$, which is quite a bit less than the 58735$ it is currently at, which means a lot of backers paid more for the perks than they had to...

This one I thought could have been legit. That football one tho seemed completely bogus.

I just did the same calculation for "Gridiron Thunder" which backers have perks with a value of 38434$ which is only about 33.6% of the 114441$ which the project is currently at... If that's not a scam, I don't know what is...
