OU-ROB is about 80% completed , waiting for some LEDs & misc material to arrive in the mail for his eyes to light up when it boots up or comes out of sleep mode . ROB I bought em broken with the attempt to repair, but whoever was his original owner many eons ago fried everything in em . He only had one functioning motor , which was on its last legs . Kinda expected from a 29 year old toy . Replacing it will cause more head-aches than its worth since alot of his pieces are factory made , something breaks and he is totally done . So instead I have converted him into a OUYA console , a great piece for the living room.

On a serious note though, that's awesome. Wish that I had the technical prowess to pull off cool stuff like that. Great work!

Didn't think anyone still had one of those. I have to find some obscure thing to make into a case...

Paint it yellow and call it WALL•E.

If only you could get it to move somehow xD

Funny thing though is that ROB will still work if you can get the sensor to see the light properly enough xD
Gotta have a CRT screen perhaps.

Would be fun to make a bluetooth powered ROB though xD

Either way gonna look pretty nice.

Rob only has one fuctioning motor , the torso. Everything else is burned out . Also the torso moved very slow , basically on its last legs . So Shadow I did try , if it worked great I would of added an audriono as a bonus.

Also Robs shoulders cannot be dettached from his spine , it has 2 latches . If I break the latches rob will be broken forever. If I did manage to remove the shoulders , the laches would be bent making it hard putting the shoulders back in , they would be lose or broken forever .Also raplacing the AC motors would be a problem , all those gears would fly out like poppers .

Cool project.
I've got one of those Nintendo ROBs that I planned on using in an Arduino robot project.

That is pretty awesome. I love seeing what people are putting the OUYA into. This OU-ROB is definitely one of the coolest. Very nice work!
