Hmmmmm...
Some valid points made but to play devil's advocate.

People are under the impression that Ouya is just another Google box. I have emailed some devs and got stock emails about it being on Android but not Ouya specifically. This is where Ouya's lack of marketing and awareness comes into play.

Same discussion that was going on yesterday in chat. With valid points on both sides. People talking sideload vs. native. The only point that was being made for not sideloading and emailing devs, etc was that it gets the game natively on the Ouya instead of sideloading. Let's use Call of Duty as an example. People foam at the mouth for this game, right? Well if it was native to Ouya then people might buy it for that, if it's a sideload then you're going to go look for for it's a native app/game. I have some thoughts on the subject which were brought up in that discussion, something I posted here months ago which maybe some day I'll get to showcase at Ouya HQ, I could use a vacation

In some cases it isn't simply "dumping" a game on Ouya. Coding comes into play and also reputation. For coding, if you use Unity or one of the other engines where porting isn't a chore then there really is no real excuse unless something breaks the system. For reputation, look at all the bad press. Ubisoft who I don't really care for much personally, was announced as a developer for Lamestick while Ouya had the catalog and was a bit of a Kickstarter success story while Lamestick barely got out of the box.

BAXY was months ago but there are others still hacking away like IncognitoMan. I liked Baxy and so did others but just like the Big 3, sometimes some people will stop backing for whatever reasons. Minecraft I personally don't care about but their Android port was lacking and even Notch said that way back, it seemed like they weren't committed to Android at the time but it's 1 game and 1 that you can get EVERYWHERE. Muffi left...ok, people do it all the time, look at his resume, he seems to be a guy who is there for launches then leaves. Day of the Ouya, who knows, a job was mentioned and beyond that, it's their choice, if you notice there are a few review sites popping up like the ones that were pimped in this thread (no I'm not shouting you guys out). And the guys who made one game weren't committed anyway, would you rather have committed developers or those who just put something out and/or lazy port?

Android is not Ouya and that's where the problem may lie or people aren't educated on how to port to Ouya.

This is becoming a manifesto so I'm going to end it here but there are also some bigger games planned for this year, things take time. This slow period which isn't really that slow is probably less "my first games", less lazy ass ports, less crap (depending on how you determine crap).
