Well it's not free if you're paying for it
I don't think it works with Ouya. Unless Ouya allowed some type of ad network but then that gives another reason for people to hate...
Reviews should be enough exposure but one thing that hurts that is no real release dates or anything. You pretty much have to wait for the game before it can be reviewed and then it might get lost in the shuffle...

If they made that choice, should have their reasons.
However, a big "THANKS" for the videos done, I really liked them

I made a comment on his final YouTube video. It is sad that he is leaving the scene but he has given a lot of quality exposure to the little console. I did disagree with his, repeated, assessment that it is a "shrinking" platform. That just seems like he is trying to justify it to himself. Every console, even the big boys, have been very quiet past few months. I just suspect he wasn't as dedicated as many people thought and was one of the more transient users (nothing wrong with that) who was extremely helpful in giving exposure whilst he was around. It has only been a few months in reality. The best we can do is thank him for his quality coverage and hope someone takes his place.

I'm not so sure. Think about the fact that there are loads of moga/controller compatible Android games already out. If it was a slow period for games companies, don't you think they would then consider releasing back-catalogue games onto the Ouya? Where is Samurai 2 Vengeance or all the other games promised/hinted at for Ouya?

Although not all official, the Ouya has lost support/development for BAXY Launcher (Frank has moved on, right?), Minecraft's dev pulled support for a port of Minecraft, the chap who worked at Amazon left, the people above who were making vids have moved on and the handful of major publishers have made one game for Ouya and then vanished, with little or no support or bug-fixing.

Meanwhile, on Android sites, new games are coming out all the time, often with Moga support. Some of these are getting "premium" versions too, meamimg Android is waking up and becoming more of a mainstream gaming environment.

Meanwhile, the Ouya related news isn't exactly flooding in...

    Hmmmmm...
Some valid points made but to play devil's advocate.

People are under the impression that Ouya is just another Google box. I have emailed some devs and got stock emails about it being on Android but not Ouya specifically. This is where Ouya's lack of marketing and awareness comes into play.

Same discussion that was going on yesterday in chat. With valid points on both sides. People talking sideload vs. native. The only point that was being made for not sideloading and emailing devs, etc was that it gets the game natively on the Ouya instead of sideloading. Let's use Call of Duty as an example. People foam at the mouth for this game, right? Well if it was native to Ouya then people might buy it for that, if it's a sideload then you're going to go look for for it's a native app/game. I have some thoughts on the subject which were brought up in that discussion, something I posted here months ago which maybe some day I'll get to showcase at Ouya HQ, I could use a vacation

In some cases it isn't simply "dumping" a game on Ouya. Coding comes into play and also reputation. For coding, if you use Unity or one of the other engines where porting isn't a chore then there really is no real excuse unless something breaks the system. For reputation, look at all the bad press. Ubisoft who I don't really care for much personally, was announced as a developer for Lamestick while Ouya had the catalog and was a bit of a Kickstarter success story while Lamestick barely got out of the box.

BAXY was months ago but there are others still hacking away like IncognitoMan. I liked Baxy and so did others but just like the Big 3, sometimes some people will stop backing for whatever reasons. Minecraft I personally don't care about but their Android port was lacking and even Notch said that way back, it seemed like they weren't committed to Android at the time but it's 1 game and 1 that you can get EVERYWHERE. Muffi left...ok, people do it all the time, look at his resume, he seems to be a guy who is there for launches then leaves. Day of the Ouya, who knows, a job was mentioned and beyond that, it's their choice, if you notice there are a few review sites popping up like the ones that were pimped in this thread (no I'm not shouting you guys out). And the guys who made one game weren't committed anyway, would you rather have committed developers or those who just put something out and/or lazy port?

Android is not Ouya and that's where the problem may lie or people aren't educated on how to port to Ouya.

This is becoming a manifesto so I'm going to end it here but there are also some bigger games planned for this year, things take time. This slow period which isn't really that slow is probably less "my first games", less lazy ass ports, less crap (depending on how you determine crap).
