possible to VPN for online play?

Me and my one buddy who has one were looking to play some killing floor and bomb squad and were wondering if there was a way to set up a VPN between the consoles for online play?
    Any ideas

VPNs work on Ouya. I've used DroidVPN (sideloaded) and Strong VPN (applied in Android settings) without problems, but I haven't tried it with online play

Both Killing Floor and Bombsquad don't have networking set up for online play though. Those games are set up for local multiplayer only at the moment. If someone can prove me wrong though..

thats why i was hoping to use a vpn to emulate local coop, but yeah i guess the vpn wont see the systems as one so it would have to emulate a lan party.... damn

    Yeah, this ^^^

Unless the actual game app itself has support for networking, VPNs won't do you any good. Now, if an app comes out with some sort of support LAN plan (and maybe not even online internet play), then this will help you out... but it all depends on the game itself.

You know, I never thought of Muffin Knight. That has direct IP based play. I tested it out with a friend of mine... I used the Ouya and he used the phone. That could very well work on a VPN. I'd love to give that a try and see if it worked. Maybe have to set something up and try it.

It will also work without a VPN if you forward the correct ports on your router for your friends IP address.

Btw here is another one... https://www.quintet.us/ https://www.ouya.tv/game/Quintet/ Supports Lan and Wan play
