A) Try downloading and installing the game via Google Play
B) try installing the game on another device and then transfer the files to your OUYA
I downloaded the APK for NBA 2K13, AND the data / cache file (and have placed the file in an obb folder, which is inside the android folder, as i was told to do).
Now, when i open NBA 2K13, all seems fine until it requires me to download some additional data (i thought this is what the data file was for....)
it prompts me with: "Would you like to enable downloading over cellular connections? Depending on your data plan, this may cost you money. If you choose not to enable downloading over cellular connections, the download will automatically resume when wi-fi is available."
Then it has two options: 1. Resume Download & 2. Wi-Fi settings.
I'm already connected to wi-fi, so i click resume.
it acts like its about to start downloading for 1 second, then goes right back to the previous page as if nothing happened.
and clicking the WiFi option just merely shows that i am, indeed, already connected to wifi...
No matter what i do, i'm stuck on this page.
Ive even connected my ouya with a 50ft ethernet cable to the modem downstairs, but it's still talking about "waiting for a wi-fi connection" or whatever.
..OMG i just want to play this game.
Someone please help me
A) Try downloading and installing the game via Google Play
B) try installing the game on another device and then transfer the files to your OUYA
for option "B"
how / where exactly would one transfer those files to / on the Ouya??
Make sure you place the folder with the obb files inside of it into the obb folder, not just the obb files into obb folder

Finally, a real, good answer!
That's probably, definitely my problem: I have just the .obb file in the obb folder.
Because: When i open dropbox on the Ouya, it will only let me download the file. It is originally in a folder titled "NBA 2K13 Cache", but when i click on that in DropBox, it just opens up to another folder within that, and then it opens up again to the .obb file, which is all it will let me download. it will not let me download the whole folder (...WHY on earth would this be???????)
So now; could someone please enlighten me on how to get that whole folder onto my Ouya?
Is there anyway i can just put it on a usb drive, then plug it into my ouya & use Filepwn to place it, or anything like that??
(I feel like everything could be much, much, much, much simpler with the Ouya.. i really don't see why everything has to be so complicated on this poor little machine)
might be worth looking into adb over the network, with it you can send an entire folder in one shot.
Code:adb push /some/files/tosend /ouya/files/tosend

Okay, i just created a folder called "NBA 2K13 cache", and moved the obb file in there.
Which that folder is in the actuall "obb" folder.
And.. still have all of the same problems.
It still wants me to download additional data, while at the same time, not letting the download start..
omg

I know there are other people that are playing this game on their ouya.. can one of you please just let us / me know how in the holy moses you got it to work?
Please
Let me recap my process, and someone please tell me where i went "wrong":
1. Downloaded a working .apk for NBA 2K13
2. Downloaded the cache file for NBA 2K13
3. cache file was then placed in: Android / obb / NBA 2K13 Cache using filepwn.
I go to the "make" tab, and see NBA 2K13, and click on it to open it.
It opens fine, loads a few title screens, then just before the main menu would normally pop up, it tells me i have to download additional data, despite already having all of that data in my cache file
(at least i think so; what in the world else would that data file be for, other than providing the data that is required... [blows my mind]).
No matter what, it will not start the download, as its under the presumption that i'm not connected to the internet, although i definitely am.
HOW & WHY is this not working?? Does it really have to get more complicated than it already is just to play one game on my Ouya???

Did you rename the folder or files? That could cause problems but I'm not 100% certain myself. I've always left them with their original name and they've always worked, unless they need Google Play for verification.

No, i haven't change any names of any files or folders.
I'm positive everything is in it's right place, as far as folders go.
But folders in the right place or not, either way I still have the same problem outside of that:
the game is just stuck at this download screen; it won't let me "resume" until there is an active wi-fi connection; so i click on the wifi option to connect: but it says i'm already connected! so it takes me back to that same page, and i press "resume", but it won't download because there's "no wifi connection"...
It just keeps doing this same circle of B.S.
I even went out to walmart and got a 50 ft ethernet cable and connected straight to my modem.. but that had absolutely no affect, as it's still waiting for a wifi connection, and i'm still stuck on this page.
If someone could actually try to install this on their Ouya, and see first hand what i'm talking about.. i feel like that would be the only way you could see what i'm dealing with;
It seems like my point is not getting across..
the cache folder should look like this com.t2ksports.nba2k13android and inside it you should have a obb file like this main.4.com.t2ksports.nba2k13android.obb
navigate to your sd card via filepwn and go into the android folder and create if you haven't already a folder called obb, place the cache folder "com.t2ksports.nba2k13android" inside obb.
If it still asks you to download data via wifi go back into filepwn and move the cache folder to /android/data. I hope that works.
UPDATE: putting the cache folder "com.t2ksports.nba2k13android" inside the obb folder works, but there isn't any controller support.
