    Saturn.emu

    Hi!

Does anyone have sideloaded this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...SaturnEmuBeta2
I think it's a saturn emulator. The game compatibility list is on this url:

    http://yabause.org/compatibility-list

If anyone tries... just tell me!!
    Thanks in advance!!

Even with Tegra 4 the games are way too slow (don't expect any playable frame rates on the Ouya!), i can just about play nights on my nvidia shield to some degree, but until the next gen of mobile cpus come out this isn't worth bothering with atm.
There is another build floating around that's quicker than the play store one, i think thats the one i was using but again, none of them are at a state of getting any enjoyment out of them.

Just a heads up, the ad-supported V Android versions of Robert Broglia's emulators on the Play Store are bootlegs and I would not recommend using them.

The official Saturn.emu is only on his website:

Isn't the saturn older than the dreamcast?

Yes, but because the way the hardware is designed it is very hard to emulate

The saturn pretty much had 2 processors working simultaneously. Emulation requires the system to be much beefier than the system you are trying to emulate. Due to the nature of how the saturn processing works you need a multi-core processor and a fair bit of Ram to cope at a minimum and that's not taking into account other aspects of the hardware. Devs found it difficult to make software for the system at the time due to the strange nature of the way the hardware handles things so I imagine it's even more difficult to emulate.

The latest update of Yabause, which what Saturn.Emu is based on has made some real leaps and bounds the past few months, I'm just waiting for this guy to release an update already....
