Do you mean usb hard drives? If not then what device are you using? I've read that it's a bit of a lottery about which devices work. I think there was a thread detailing which devices some of us here have gotten to work.

That should work just fine. It could be that your USB slot is loose on the PCB itself if wiggling it makes it work.
If you are comfortable with it, you should pop the top off your OUYA and have a look just to make sure there are no bad solder points.
Remember that there are two pressure tabs on the metal shroud that bend down towards the connector pins on the port itself (they provide pressure on the USB cable connector so it maintains a connection). On the OUYA they are weak and easily get bent up into the shroud, all you have to do is bend them back down towards the pins, make sure you dont bend them down too far cause they can actually prevent the USB cable end to be inserted or can make contact with the pins.
I wonder,
Is the micro USB on the same bus as the regular sized USB slot?
They do make a micro-usb to SD card adapters for phones and tablets without external storage.
Thanks for the reply guys. I tried to open my Ouya but only half of the hex screws will unscrew, The others the key just moves arounds in.
have you rebooted the ouya with the stick in it. Mine was doing something similar
This ^
Hot swapping USB is not supported in Android ( unless that's recently changed ) so a reboot should always be standard procedure.
As far as opening your OUYA try carefully prying up on the top while turning the screws. Its just machine screws in pretty soft plastic holding the lid on![]()
