Are there any Zelda style adventure games? Where you collect items, solve puzzles, dungeons ect. Seems like gba style Zelda graphics would be perfectly handled by the system

Ittle Dew sounds closes as to what you are looking for:
https://www.ouya.tv/game/Ittle-Dew/
It is a bit short, but once you find the master dungeon (optional) it can increase the length of the game dramatically! Plus with collectibles and stuff as well
Some Roguelikes like Heroes of LOOT, bitDungeon and Soul Fjord might catch your interest as well

Also, Antichromatic has a Zelda/Metroid feel (more of the latter, but still an emphasis on timing, backtracking, and collecting items to progress)
I know there's a yet unnamed one that should be ready around March/April timeframe.
Delver's Drop looks really promising.
Too bad we will have to wait until late 2014 for it.
While not an Ouya game, there is hidef textures for the N64 version of Zelda which you can run on Ouya & it looks quite nice.
That's if you want to play an older version of zelda.
Guess it depends on what they're looking for. The list of role playing games is just that role playing for the most part, not really too many adventureish games.
Did you mean Zelda as in Legend of Zelda, few caves, few items to find, etc. or something with more depth like a traditional role playing game?
If you're looking for the exploration and item collecting aspect, there are several options and more coming. Lemegeton, Twinland, and Gene Effect all have that mechanic, for instance, but they all differ from Zelda in terms of combat style and visual perspective. Upcoming games like Legend of Iya and Lobodestroyo have similar elements as well. Ittle Dew, as mentioned above, is a direct parody and homage of the classic 2D Zelda games, but with more emphasis on sokoban puzzles.

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "otherwise you wouldn't have come here."
Elliot Quest should be out in a few months, although it's more like Zelda 2 than any other in the series.
