Wow! I haven't tried it and probably won't, but I have a real ZX81 somewhere. Dang. I dunno if the demand for this will be too high.
Hi guys
Has anyone had any success with this?
I had a play about earlier, managed to side load it, and get to the main BASIC screen. The options appear to work, but I've not tried loading any roms as yet, but the app comes with a few test games and the one I tried seemed to load up without any problems.
I have terrible overscan issues for any side loaded apps, and this one is no exception. So its a little more difficult to configure keys etc. than it should be.
I just wondered if anyone else had got this one going?

Yeah me too! Although its more for 'ornamental' purposes these days.
My dream would be that this gets an official OUYA release, to fix up my overscan issues, and then gets support from the wonderful Nostalgia!
I suppose I need to be realistic about these things, there are probably one or two people max that would be interested!

I keep it around because it's the first computer I ever used, but I can't really think of any games I'm dying to play on it.
Off topic kinda, I think I still have my Ti 99/4a somewhere.
First computer I ever had.
This was my first DIY computer with a 16kb extra pack
i must before solder the cirquit board.
The keyboard was a horror, i remember me i have typed frogger from a computermagzin hours over hours....
This is an interesting read, and might bring back a few memories

Some consider it the first ever 3d FPS. Although there isn't actually any shooting. Certainly earlier than Doom or even Wolfenstein!
For anyone who is interested, I managed to get a game to load and play it last night!
Its possible to reconfigure the keys, and seems to work quite well.
Some games look at though they require you to type 'run' after they are loaded to work, I've not quite figured out how to do this yet. There is a pop up on screen ZX81 keyboard but I'm not sure how to use it.
I might give a ZX Spectrum emu a go after this. There could be a bit more interest in that!

i remember me, you must only type R and Enter to start the programms.
The RUN command comes automaticly when you type only R? Or Shift and R?
