yesterday I decided to become active on YouTube and guess what: my first gameplay video is about an OUYA game: Gene Effect

Sorry for german, but my english is not sufficient to express myself properly (yet?)...

Brilliant game! Polished controls, fun gameplay and a rocking sound track. Definitely need more love around here for such a masterpiece! $6 was too cheap for such a gem.

What I do not like about this game is the lack of button information. Like the game tells me "press the T-drone button", but does not indicate what button that is. So the first few times you are button mashing trying to figure out what you need to do. This should be addressed.

The tips that appear before each mission are not on the screen long enough. 2-3 extra seconds would be much nicer.

Some of the "lore" or "technical" information doesn't make sense because I didn't write the script. The author should go back and write out some of the information more clearly. I'll get the gist of the mission briefing but I won't care about the cooler aspects of the story because I've no idea what they are talking about. Like when it said I would get to interact with a T-Drone. This is a perfect opportunity to toss in 2-3 sentences about what it is, who created it, what its purpose is, what button controls it, etc. Here are other examples from mission 1: What is an ST Commander? What is the Goliath? What is a GSA Engineer? Instead of elaborating on these points that enhance the story we are given the radius, axial tilt, and number of moons (among other useless information).

pretty fun game, slow paced but enjoyable. Game play is rather simple and those extra few bucks in the asking price are clearly going towards the graphics and sound.

Hallo,

can anybody help me in Mission 14? I passad the Gravity Abnomaly with the 6 energy gates go down through the big cave with the yellow bubbles and then turned left. Pass anaother 2 Gravity Abnomalys und find a energy gate.

How can I open this gate. I find no other way and i can´t open this gate.

Hallo,

i only have one OUYA-Controller. No others. I will buy a second controller when there is a good race game like MARIO KART on OUYA.

I have completted Mission 14 and 15. The Story (you have to read the ship log and the Archives) is making a PAUSE. The Mission 14 and 15 where very good, but i don´t like zhe gravity abnormalys.

Is this game any good from what people who've played this game recently can tell me? It's a big game and my internet doesn't work well on my console despite being pretty decent so I'm not going to waste my time on this if it ends of being anything but great.

I think it is great and bought it immediately after finishing the demo.
