    Gene Effect - Lightstorm3D

Gene Effect takes place in the not so distant future. Mankind explores space using an ancient technology found in an abandoned alien ore mine on Mars. What starts as a simple rescue mission turns into the discovery of a secret that threatens the existence of mankind.

Collect resources on your way through deep mines and fight against natural phenomena, biological threats and mechanical devices. You can solve optional puzzles that unlock hidden areas containing relics, artifacts and other goodies.

Upgrade your ship with alien artifacts and experience an epic story that unfolds using multiple, interweaved storylines.

Enjoy Gene Effect over and over again with randomized level content, 3 difficulty levels and different play styles.

This looked so amazing in video and screenshots - I just had to try it right away, but now I'm afraid I'm disappointed, and it's not even this game's fault.
Not sure why, but somehow the trailer made me think this is an exploration game kind of like the classic Cyberun/Exile/JetStory games, but it's actually more along the lines of Cybernoid/Subterrania - a mission-based cave-flyer.

Still - the art and the music are great! Probably a very cool game for people who'd be into mission-based flyer, just not what I expected: (

I agree. Also the ps3 controller problem will be fixed and just to let folks know, the android version displays as the ouya version on my baxy launcher when i sideloaded it.

It reminded me of the gameboy version of choplifter 2 (which had caves).

Great production values in this game. Looks great, controls well and has a cool exploration vibe to it so Im in

May sound a bit weird but the credits are very cool and some of the best from a visual standpoint on any platform. Love the big budget movie look.
