Need a good PS1 (Playstation 1) Emulator and help on settings

I saw that there are several PS1 emulators on Ouya, I currently have Nostalgia installed and I love it. So if I can use it and play Playstation games, that would rock! So here are my questions:

1. Can someone recommend the best PS1 emulator for Ouya?
2. I read that I need a bios file for it, and I can Google for that no problem - but are there different BIOS files that work better than others?
3. Bios file needs to be in same folder as ROMs. In a folder along with the ROMs, or outside the rom folder? - Like (ROMS folder and then BIOS file in the same parent folder)
4. I saw some posts regarding HD and Open GL, can someone clarify if this works, and if so with which emulator, bios and settings
5. I know how to find ROMs for the games I own, but do they need to be in a certain format? (like .bin and .cue?)

All bios work the same way, just different regions. (NA, EU, JP)

ROMs and bios do not need to be in the same folder since you look for them through the emulator.

Open gl works an poly models do look HD, but it causes random slowdowns in games, unavoidable. Just search for it and I believe it goes in the plugins folder.

Games needs to be in either iso, bin, or img. Cue files alone does nothing.
