Well, I felt like quite an ass to point these things out since I have nothing but respect for developers (I can't do anything better from what I know today, that's for sure), but I guess maybe it's good to hear honest feedback as well.

Something that would make me more eager to fight a friend in this game would be the ability to block, as mentioned, and more variety in how to punch. One idea is to skip the jump (which boxers jump anyway?) and make the regular punch a mid/low one and then "up" in combination with punch would be a high punch. This together with the obvious "high and low block" would make a lot of difference. I think.

I think if it's a boxing game why not concentrate on the punching. Punches are far easier to animate then kicks and you would be able to have several punch buttons then, straight punch, jab, upper cut, that would give it some great variety and as said please a block. I've not played it yet but just my thoughts after reading peoples thoughts.

I am not sure what kind of gameplay to implement. I am guessing I need to change the gameplay.
First thing I noticed is that when I make tiny invulnerability it's not fun because you can't have combos, but allowing combos makes thing more complex.
With combos blocking also make more sense.

Remember that this game is suppose to be also on Android phones so I can't have tons of buttons.
The virtual gamepad of left, right, down and kick, punch worked fine on the phone.
btw, there is not suppose to be a jump it's an error on the OUYA port. XD

I also want to research Virtua Fighter as that is one of the best fighting games I ever played and the I love the most. But it's kind of hard to get virtua fighter 1 run on machines, I saw there is Virtua Fighter 2 for the XBOX though.

I understand the need to keep the controls simple for touch interfaces but on a console with a controller, if the controls are too simple, the user will not be engaged and get bored quickly. But yeah it would suck to have to redesign the whole thing for another system... so maybe a compromise...

I don't think you need a lot of buttons for a game.
Virtua Fighter 1 was only left, up, right, down and 3 buttons. Punch, Kick and defense.
Which is still quite marginal for a touch screen game.
And lets not forget that NES and SMS had two buttons.

    I am revamping the game.
First I made it possible to have combos and chain hits, so you can hit an opponent while his is recovering from the previous hit.
I am also gonna add blocking.
I also made this table of one possible attack set in hope to see if it seems to be balance. What do you think?

Edit: I have added shadow and it works fine on my Android phone. I expect it to work fine on OUYA as well.

Sounds cool, hope you can work the kicks out to look right too.

I tried it today... honestly it seems a really amateurish software. Animations are unrealistic, gameplay is awful, the only thing pretty decent is the graphic.
Imho this game needs to restart almost from zero.
    Sorry man.
However, every failure is an experience, pushing you to do better in the future.

Tighten up the controls as much as possible. People will play games with so-so graphics like Wii sports Boxing, but the controls must be tight and responsive. Back in the day me and my friends had a blast playing Buster Douglas/Final Blow for the Genesis.

I think it has okay graphics and okay controls.
