Me and my roommate love getting drunk to play these dating simulator games with this being close enough. We find them and games like these very entertaining, especially when the main character is a guy and we're trying to hook up with women, lol. Now we don't get drunk because these games are bad, it's just that we get drunk to make them more fun.

The story in this is sorta sad. It got me wanting to read morethough, to see what happens next. I do enjoy a good Japanese Adventure style game.

@Eddie K: Thanks so much for posting about our game! No need to edit. Maybe a space between the screenshots would be nice, though.

@RiotingSpectre: Drinking and playing this game seem to be a common theme. Not quite sure what to make of it yet.

@ Kaimega: Yes, the story is sad, but happy games can't exist without their corresponding antitheses. (Pretty can't exist without ugly, etc.) Thanks for playing!

What I'd like to know is where "Nowhere Safe 1" went. Seeing a 2 after a title makes me think I missed the first game and am only being offered a sequel in which I'll be lost trying to figure out all the information I'm expected to know but don't because I never played the first game.

Not even sure if I want to play through the free part and spoil the first game for myself...

I can't be the only one thinking this kind of thing either...

There doesn't seem to be a paywall, and it doesn't appear like the games are connected anyway. (Ie: same title, different story. a la Final Fantasy)

Oh, OK then I'll have to clear some room and give it a try!

If the developer reads these forums, maybe it'd be a good idea to explain that his series is not connected in a sequence, just related in theme? Something that explains the player isn't missing out by starting with the second game in the series.

Is it really? I thought it was Ren'py at first myself.

Is this happening for everyone? The game is stuck in standard definition, not fitting to my screen. I did just do a system upgrade but haven't played with overscan ever so don't think it is the issue, I only mention it for completeness sake.

Thanks for asking. Nowhere Safe 1 is more of a prequel and is very short. You can just play the free version online at our site if you're worried. We had a review at RPGFan and they said that playing the first Nowhere Safe "was not necessary", but it would help. The intro in Nowhere Safe 2 explains everything.

The game seems to have really great manga art.
    I'll try this.
