but i don't want to pay for a game twice..![]()
Yay, I always wanted to buy a cartridge but I think they are far too expensive. I prefer the reprint edition since it resembles more the European covers (EU Mega Drive covers are still number 1). I hope for you that the game has a SD/HD switch, it should be the HD version (with some pixel-art here and there just because they know I don't like it).
The HD version of Pier Solar will include the original MD game in Pixel art form. You can switch anytime between HD mode and 16bits mode. Moreover, you can also switch between chiptune audio (MD chip music) or CD quality audio.
The game will be available on Ouya as well as PS3/4, XBox One, Wiiu, Android, PC(Win/Mac/Linux) and finally on Dreamcast in physical form (classic and limited edition).
Here's a trailer of the Wiiu version to give you a idea. All the versions will be identical :

Hi,
Yes, I'm the person who handled the character designs/illustrations as well as the cutscene direction for the original game and the remake.
On the genesis one I found it easy to get stuck in a 'have to wipe my whole save and restart' scenario, and some of the puzzles were intentionally annoying.
But I'm about the only one I've ever heard of who didn't like the game.
if you buy it, and drop 30 hours or so in, remember: Don't save at the tent. Don't ever save at the tent.
