Commander Genius (Commander Keen series interpreter)

Commander Genius is a free interpreter for the Commander Keen series of games. I sideloaded it to my Ouya the other day just to see if it would work and was quite pleasantly surprised! It appears as though they're working on an Ouya version! Not only do the controls work perfectly without so much as a single tweak, but when I installed the app it showed up neatly in Play with a sharp-looking banner image and everything! It comes with the freely-distributed episodes (1, 4 and 7), the others need to be bought (3D Realms, the company that owns them, still sells them). The only issues I've encountered are not being able to return to the game menu during play and the music doesn't seem to be working, but everything else works like a charm!

Just a heads up for the Commander Keen fans out there.

I can't use the google store on OUYA. Is there any way to download the latest apk just on the computer to sideload? Everywhere I looked are either older versions or link straight to google play.

Do you have another Android device, like a phone or tablet? What I did was I got it from Google Play on my phone, then backed up the apk with Astro File Manager (it's free and really excellent for this sort of thing) and transferred the backed-up apk from my phone to sideload onto my Ouya.

Holy crap! I really want that. Do they really work on an Ouya version? If so, I'd even wait and buy it then.

This App is brilliant! Invasion of the Vorticons runs really well, it's a shame that Goodbye Galaxy still has a ways to go but that's okay. I'll add those episodes when Commander Genius gets an update. I liked the upgraded visuals and new songs but ultimately I decided to play without them. Still, I hope to see this get added to the Discover store someday.
