BioBot: Blood Rules - BrittMD Co.

This thread is for the discussion of BioBot: Blood Rules - The Full Collection. (note to developer - send me a private message if you would like to edit this thread)

You are a miniaturized futuristic medical BioBot, or biological robot. A scientist has injected you into the veins of an infected human host. Protect your hosts life giving Red Blood Cells from a madness of invading bacteria, viruses and more. Target and destroy your enemies with a lightning fast laser, or capture and electrocute them into an explosion of tiny bits. Will you defeat the infectious armies…or will you and your human host succumb and meet your demise? A bit like 3D asteroids. This is a fast paced game. Play is simple and straight forward. OUYA and PS3 controllers supported (XBox ?).

Interesting game on Paper. I thought it would be like the classic Descent games on PC. Turns out it's no more than a repetitive "go through tube. Find item X & Y. Destroy it"... Because of that, it destroys any potential the game could of had.

This game would have worked better if each level came in the form of a body part or part of the body and allowed a more free-roam approach. This could be achieved by adding a GPS style map system, and adding to the visual geography to be more than just a long tube. So have branching areas where veins split. In the veins themselves, add the necessary valves that open and close with each pump of the heart. Plus add some more unusual features along the way using some imagination.

The story could be improved somewhat if you were say injected into the leg (for some bizarre reason) and you have to make your way to the heart. From the heart, you join the arteries and make your way to the brain where you have to attack the cause of the infection.

Either way, some of the reality needs to be suspended and the game made more free-form so it's not just an on the rails type shooter game and (without making a poorly/loosely related pun) it flows better. Maybe I'm being harsh here. But the overall design decisions makes this game a huge disappointment

    Saracen26,

I am the developer of BioBot Blood Rules. I'm sorry the game didn't meet your expectations. However, you might like to know that many of the aspects you mention are being incorporated into another game we are currently working on that is much more in depth. Don't have a release date yet, but I hope it will be more to your liking : )

I like a good rail shooter now and then.

When I played the shooting mechanism was broken. :/ Everytime I shot, the laser would go to the bottom left-hand corner.

However, as said before, CONTROLS SEEMS BROKEN.
