Hey is anyone actually interested in this game? Also note it runs slower on OUYA than all other platforms depending on the resolution of your TV display. I'd be interested in hearing reported frame rate difference estimations between specifically the Windows and OUYA editions.

The game has poor ratings on the OUYA store, averaging less than 3/5 stars, which I have a tendency to believe has all to do with the lag issue. It runs much slower on my flatscreen TV than on everything else I ported to, but it's still reasonably playable, but I'm not certain if everyone else can say the same for on their TVs. My TV resolution is big but there is definitely better out there.

I will happily check it out later tonight

So far about the only games I wont bother to try from the store are the games where its constant running and jumping over obstacles, just not my idea of fun gaming.

I tried it early on, when the physics were glitchy, so I'll have to give it another shot.

It sounds like you're describing the "endless runner" genre. Not one of my favorites either, but there are a few decent ones. This game, however, is a traditional scrolling platformer, not an endless runner.

I think he might not be talking about an endless runner, I think he means like a plaformer that has no original elements applied to it. If the case there isn't anything extremely original about my game. But then again, there's a ton of successful, excellent games out there that aren't original at all.

You'll be the first to know when that update is accepted. Edit: I'm very surprised it's not even under review yet. Usually it takes them less than 24 hours to notice my submission, review it, and accept it. But it's been almost 5 days. Sheesh.

Version 5.0.0.0 is now published on the OUYA store! Update the game if you haven't already. In this update the physics are perfected and several visual assets have been improved. In version 6.0.0.0 I'm hoping to fix the minor lag issue some people are having.

    Have fun!

I couldn't find rules about bumping anywhere on this site, but anyway...

I fixed 90% of the lagging issues. Doesn't anyone actually like this game? I've worked pretty hard on it and I'm a bit puzzled as to why it has such a poor average rating on the OUYA store (1.23-ish / 5). I honestly feel a bit robbed, there are sloppy MS Paint games that get better ratings than I do, it really doesn't add up.

When a game has less than 3 stars that *should* mean people honestly think the game seriously sucks like crazy, and that their personal rating was left to be a way of letting everyone know "Don't get this game, it sucks", which I find hard to believe that happened with my game.

The way I see it, it's not even remotely a quality issue, it's just not fitting the personal taste / prefence of a lot of the game's players, and to rate any game poorly just because it wasn't your taste, I find it a bit immature to rate any game with such a mentality. I hate puzzle games in general but you don't see me doing stupid crap like that to awesome games like GemHEX.

The bulk of feedback I've gotten on this game has been almost entirely positive, and everywhere besides the OUYA store this game has a bare minimum rating of 3.7 and a max of 4.5. I really don't know why OUYA gamers specifically hate my game so much, and none of them have really given me any feedback or critiques I could learn and improve from (yet).

Hey broski. As for gameplay and other elements of the game that matter I think its a great sidescroller. Also you made it free how can I not like it? The only part of this that I thought might need some work would be the graphics and they're unique for what they are. The reason for low scores is probably based on personal taste. I know I don't usually give under 3 stars unless there are things wrong with the game that prevent you from playing it.

It didn't get below 3 stars from me either, I do think if the your rating is that low is is due to personal taste in graphics really.. Nothin against you, just some prefer different styles.
