Moga Pivot App and Moga Controller

Can someone provide me some steps to get this to work, I have a Moga controller, and I downloaded the Moga Pivot App APK, and I have it on my USB Storage. How do I install this to get my Moga to be a controller?

    1. Do I need to be rooted to run this app or get the controller to work?
    2. Do I just run the APK or are there certain steps I need to follow?
    3. Will it be my 2nd controller, first being the Ouya one, or will it replace the Ouya one? (I want to have 2 controllers to try out some multiplayer games)
    4. Are there games or apps that only work with the Moga controller (I recall seeing posts mentioning some game only worked with a Moga?)

    Thanks for your help

Applications with apk extension is really hard to find these days over the internet. Other than play store you can no where apps with apk extension. I tried to search them couple of time but got nothing in hand.

Do you mean that you don't know where to get apk files to sideload? I've found it fairly easy. Just search the Google Play store for alternate app stores and you will find them.

I have gotten mine to work without any problems. I used my phone to get the APK off there and put it on my dropbox, where I used to load onto the Ouya. I used an app called "Gemini App Manager" (though, I sure there are others) to backup the app to an APK and then uploaded it to my dropbox.

I've connected a MOGA Pro and found I didn't even need the Pivot app.
Just switched the MOGA into HID mode ("B" on the selector switch).
Then on the OUYA go to Manage -> System -> Advanced -> Bluetooth -> "Search for Devices" (in the Top right hand corner) while the MOGA button is flashing blue. Also note the Power LED will be RED not green.

Once the OUYA has finished searching, the "Moga Pro HID" device should appear in the "Available Devices" list at the bottom. Select that and it'll be paired. If you want to pair again, you'll need to go back to the Bluetooth screen, find the MOGA in the "Paired Devices" list and hit "O" (on an OUYA controller) and that'll re-pair the MOGA.

It seems to not only be working fine for me (navigating through menus, etc) but also giving me access to every button and axis - granted, I'm developing and adding the MOGA via HID to my controller abstraction framework, but it might work for many games already out there!
