Hey there peeps, just a quick shout out to say Far From Sleep have released an .apk of their first game for Ouya on their blog. It hasn't gone through approval yet at Ouya HQ, so it isn't on the store yet - but if you have a usb stick or whatever you can just download and install now

Here’s a little seasonal something for ya, a playable mini-game inspired by the 8-bit classic “Hunchback”, starring Hellbounders’ Harmony Winters, free for Windows, OUYA and HTML5. It looks like the OUYA one isn’t going to pass certification in time for Xmas, but you can sideload the file here without any trouble (just download it through the system’s browser in the “make” menu, then “manage > storage > downloads”).

I went ahead and moved it to our Current section because it's technically completed, able to be played, and is being submitted to Discover. Looks super cute so I'm interested in playing it, lol.

Snowbrawl in hell? Sounds unique enough and love retro games so just waiting for it to show up on the store! I'm far too lazy to sideload anything at the moment before work

This version was designed as a beta/interactive xmas card, so it's a bit on the short side. I'm planning on expanding it later if people like it enough though (feel free to shout out with suggestions if there's something in particular you'd like). It ended up being a little rushed in the end as I was racing to meet the approval cutoff in time for xmas, but as it turned out there must have been too many games in the approval queue and it didn't make it in time anyway. Oh well.

Yep, it's a fond tribute to Hunchback, I used to love that game on my friend's amstrad (I was a c64 owner myself, but could never find the '64 version at the time). It's not a direct remake by any stretch (it's quite a bit easier, for a start), but there's going to be elements there you'll probably recognise from the original, like jumping over the three spearmen and traversing swinging ropes over fire pits.
