This game is awesome. I'm playing it with some long distance friends and really enjoying it. A couple of questions though:

    1. Is there any way to chat in the OUYA version? Using a bluetooth keyboard, 'Tab' opens chat and I can type there, but 'Enter' doesn't send the message and I can't find any other way to do it.

    2. Do your characters save when you update to a new apk on OUYA?

Really impressed with the game so far and I can't wait to see how it progresses.

    1. The Enter/Return key bug has been reported for Bluetooth Keyboards. http://alcuria.net/bugs/

    2. I didn't lose player data with the last update.

Looks like there is a update out.

    Too bad.
I just finished my second Boss fight and don't know what or where to go next? Are there more levels?

Finally gave this game a go over the weekend and LOVE it!

Yes, I'm a sucker for retro-style games and I'm a sucker for good action rpgs; this one delivers on both fronts. It's a little too buggy for me to play seriously right now but I love the direction it's going, this is the kind of game I've been wanting on the Ouya and I'm glad someone is finally making it!

    AW: Heroes of Umbra

Wow, people are so thrilled by a game that the dev calls "really early alpha". This is gonna be huge, it seems.
I'll wait for the official release, though (I got into consoles to not have to tinker around anymore), but I'm having my eyes on you, HoU (no pronounciation-pun intended).

One of the best things about HOU is being able to play with friends over the net. Why aren't more Ouya games implementing this feature?

    Summary
Heroes of Umbra is a short side-scrolling RPG that takes influence from games like Maplestory, Zelda II, and Castlevania. The game is written in Java, so it runs in Win/Mac/Linux as well as Android/OUYA. Friends can join your game at any time to help you -- everyone is automatically partied -- and monster difficulty scales based on how many players are connected to your game. As your character levels you can allocate stat points, learn skills from two different skill trees, and find new gear to show off.

The game has been in alpha for the last year but I feel the current version is in a playable state. Three of the four planned dungeons are complete, and any feedback you have is appreciated.

(If double-clicking doesn't start the game, try java -jar heroes-of-umbra.jar from command-line)

Keys can be rebinded by manually changing the settings file that is created when the game launches. Detailed instructions.

Awesome thank you! I realized I hadn't made a thread here yet despite seeing that old one here and I just released the third dungeon so I figured it would be a good time.

Stupid question but does that mean if I re-install the game there will be more content than there was 3 months ago? This may be what finally peels me away from Starbound and get me back on my Ouya....

Just found this; a page back local multiplayer was being discussed - is that still being considered? I have yet to try out the game but I'm seriously interested.
