Place the range extender mid-range between the router and the OUYA, this way the Extender is closer to the router, and the OUYA is closer to the Extender. Not sure how much additional latency this would add or remove though.
My router is located basically in the room just above the TV. So, I don't think it would really help much.

I don't really want to spend money to get a n-router just for the ouya. By the way, what's the difference between wireless N and G?
