Yea, I'm curious how this will be implemented. If you don't have cable how would this work, how about if you do, how would it know what you have/don't have access to?

I know silicondust is coming out with a network based tuner that can transcode to x264, this is much needed for people that live in an area where MPEG2/AC3 are the default codecs. Pair that with XBMC and job is done.
