So far I have played PSO v2 on the Reicast emulator for 8 hours overall, about 3 hours in neon shadow and had the overclock active all day for the last few days, the OUYA is not hot to touch at all and no had any problems yet.
I can't even hear the fan inside, I think you are good to leave it running.
If you have a region free DC right now you would be best sticking with that using VGA out, the emulator is great but very early, a lot of games fail to run or load currently and only a small handful feel solid, you get shimmering polygons or loading pauses and such.
It's not replacing my DC anytime soon but it's good fun to see games like PSO in 1080p and play well on the ouya.

Well, I tried 2 games, and they worked.
1)Crazy Taxi 2 - Runs flawlessly and without any glitches.
2)Resident Evil : Code Veronica - 1st miniDVD runs without problems, except for some bearable graphic glitches whenever you encounter some heavy lighted areas or stand right below a light source. But, the 2nd miniDVD does not seem to load up, so, I dont think that as of now, we would be able to complete the game. Thats some sad stuff.
Quite frankly, this being in the alpha stage, I think it has an extreme potential, because other gaming platform emulation could not achieve atleast playable status until the end of beta. I would donate if they asked, but quite frankly it turns out that they dont accept monetary donations, but old and used devices to test their emulator on. That was quite a surprise.

i might be missing something but are the bios, flash, and boot .bin files on the github?
I'm sure you can find some help with a google search. Checking out the reicast website for instructions wouldn't hurt either.
