Showbox

how do i get showbox to work? it lets me install the apk & install it but does not play? anyone using this amazing app...

After a month of searching on how to find a way of getting showbox to work i have managed to do it myself.
I rooted the OUYA which you can do by searching google on how to root the OUYA. Then i downloaded and installed showbox.
After that i tried opening it and got the same problem where the app closes as soon as it opens, so i went into the settings - advanced- apps. then cleared cache then cleared data.
After that i tried opening the showbox app and it gave me the option to download the latest app for it. Once that was downloaded and installed it is working fine.

I can get this to work about 50% of the time but when trying to start certain shows/films it puts an ad first. When closing the ad it drops me back at the showbox selection menu.

Is there a way to use adblock to block ads on just this app or a way of closing the ads without dropping back to the selection screen?

When there is no pre ad it streams GREAT!

You could try sideloading the Adblock APK but I'm not sure how well it will work for Showbox. It works on Youtube's app.

I tried side loading it but wasnt exactly sure if OOB it just works glabally or you have to set up a proxy to get it to work

You shouldn't need to set a proxy Adblock is run without geolocking for browsers and android devices for all regions.

then i can confirm it did not work for showbox.
Any other good ad blockers that might work on a per app basis?

The only other one I've heard about is AdAway but can't speak to it's usefulness sorry.
