No. One side would create a server and enter the game but the match would not show up in search on the other side. We were able to get past this by rebooting the game and retrying a couple of times.
Once we were both able to join the match things worked decently. However, there were some annoyances:
1.Bullets tended to clip the edges of the environment, preventing one player from hitting another while either was near cover
2. Bullets would also not pass through gaps in handrails. This was particularly evident when trying to shoot an opponent from the fire escapes in factory.
3. Running out of ammo. Seems to be no way to pick up extra ammo. With no side arms or the ability to pick up weapons, players who get a few kills without dying are forced to get killed for more ammo
4. Weapon inaccuracy. I appreciate that the game strives for realism, however, our shootouts at medium range often boiled down to both parties shooting while crouched and not moving, waiting for the magic accuracy gods to register a hit
Fixes like this would go a long way towards turing a solid foundation into a great game. I've enjoyed keeping up with this project and look forward to hearing from you!
P.S.
annoyance #1 may have been due to the player's weapon being to the right of screen-center. So the enemy is in the crosshairs but the gun is shooting the wall to the right of the crosshair. Maybe the gun should pull to center screen while sighted?
