VERY excited. Jumpman was a HUGE part of my childhood.

One request: I hope the original Jumpman is included with this.

I never got to experience Jumpman but it reminds me of the original Arcade Mario Brothers (with the POW! blocks and turtles coming at you).

    So I backed!

Wow, I'm pretty sure I just had a flashback to my childhood (most of it was good. lol). I use to play this game on the commodore 64. Mind is blown...

side note: currently wondering how to have Rioting Spectre send me a greeting to the forums...

    A bit about the game...

Since I'm on here, and this is now the official thread for Jumpman Forever's Kickstarter, I probably should do something fun like throw up a couple of screenshots, and maybe the current trailer for the game :-)

The current official trailer (probably going to get another update soon):

Some gameplay (more can be found at www.JumpmanForever.com, the Kickstarter page)

    And some WIP shots:

    Any thoughts or questions? :-)

Looks great! I am loving how exciting the new look is without taking anything away from the old feeling on Jumpman. Spent many many hours playing this on my Commodore 64. May I suggest one thing that I know I would like. I would try to get permission to use the original music. Not all of it but some of the classic sounds are what triggers the nostalgia. Would be neat to leave a couple of the more well known. Or at least work on making sure the sounds do it justice

Thanks for bringing this back Davis!

Looks so cool loving old Jumpman feeling. One thing I love to have is ability putting background music like own mid files from C64 games in it!

It will ship in February 2014 hoping that it will ship 16 day because that's my birthday

I've had the press asking about a reviewer copy of the game multiple times now, so, I decided to break from my normal M.O., and go head and ship out a preview build for them. However, I didn't think it was fair that only press go to play the game, so, somewhere between late today and Saturday evening I'm going to send out preview builds to ANYONE who's contributed to the Kickstarter campaign :-) It's only a preview, 8 - 10 levels, and there's a number of game modes like Speed Run and Advanced that aren't available in the preview. It's only the PC / Mac versions here, not iOS, Android, or Ouya versions. You can get the full details on this update to the Kickstarter :-)
