KOYING - also think that gaming focus of the platform is why no interest at OUYA factory for improvements in the network streaming glitches. Many experiences these network speed issues.
OUYA is overclocked, as it first and foremost targets gaming. That explains the (loudy) fan.
I must say that puts me off as well.
Who knows, maybe one day someone will make a custom firmware that would address this.
But I don't hold my breath. Ouya is making money on the games from their store, so they have no interest in letting us tweak the machine.

I just git the noctua fan, easy fix and very quiet. Highly recommended.
After installing a new NAS I had to type some string passwords so plugged my USB keyboard in. I noticed it worked fine but I could not use stuff like shift or caps lock or arrows. So ended up still typing with the game controller. Is this a known issue and or do others have this?

I don't hear my fan. RMA your unit. I got mine right after official launch and its silent. Quieter then my ps2 or my laptop even.

KOYING - found a work around between NIGHTLY BUILD and the PLEX app to get this functional working on my OUYA. Still will expect a little improvement after you update SPMC. Thanks for all your development and being responsive in this thread.
BTW my fan is quiet as a Christmas mouse. No significant noise.
Is there suppose to be cache when watching a movie from my NAS? I can always see how far ahead it cashes when using add-ons but never when I'm streaming a local file via ethernet from my NAS. I also ran a maintenance tool in XBMC hub to see which advancedsettings file is being used, and it always say I dont have one, when clearly I can see it there. Any help is appreciated.
Starting to wonder about the technical functionality of tools on xbmchub. They are a meta tool collector and distributor. But much of what is there is partially working at best and completely non functional at worst.
Yes it does cache :-) I believe it is based on the file bitrate and your connection.

Re loud fan, I've got one of the dev kits, from before the launch.
Good thing they solved this in the final product :-)
