    Haha ok, though KOUYADING would be epic (although quite convoluted)

    Hello dear koying. Read enough your forum, about his development. First congratulations for the great work. I would like if possible your advice.

    I own a tvbox m8 Amlogic with xbmc gotham rc1, already fully configured with movies, music, TV shows, games, IPTV, etc. I wonder what would be the best way to run the SPMC, taking advantage of all that I already have setup in xbmc. I install through google play store? or recommend another way? I must first uninstall xbmc? Saving the userdata folder, I have everything I need to take to configure the SPMC?

    Thank you for your patience.

    Just rename/backup or copy /sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc to /sdcard/Android/data/com.semperpax.spmc

    Another option is here: https://github.com/koying/SPMC/wiki/...f-SPMC-data%3F
    i.e create a text file "/sdcard/xbmc_env.properties" whose content would be
    Code:
    xbmc_data=/sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files

    Thanks for the quick response!

    Just confirming: Can I install through google play, (as I understand it will not conflict with the installation of the current xbmc, signatures are different, is it?) And after that make this direction (shortcut) to the data directory.

    Yep. Beware that the redirection must be on same xbmc versions, i.e. Gotham.
    Don't do that if you installed an alpha Helix.

    XBMC is not an SSH server. Yes, there are instructions on how to SSH into boxes running XBMC, but that's because the OSes discussed there ship with SSH servers. Android typically does not. You will need to install an SSH server, like SSHDroid, on your FTV.

    @Koying I'd like to ask if you ever find picture is soft when playing 1080P/720P MTV file? When I enable hardware decoding option, whatever I choose, the picture is soft for 1~3 seconds. Sharp to Soft Soft to Sharp it is very annoying me. So I enabled software decoding and allowed multi-threads processing. The picture looks sharp.Although sometimes picture is soft again, it is better than hardware decoding.The only one thing that concerns me is that frame drops. Especially when picture is moving fast. Is there a way to solve my issue? I read the Wikipedia for ouya,which recommends hardware decoding due to poor performance of ARM processor. And 4.4+ is recommended. So if I overclock Tegra 3 or flash CM Rom,it could enhance hardware decoding for better watching experience. Many thanks

    Is it on some streaming service? It would be consistent with some kind of adaptive bitrate.

    No, the movies are stored on my portable hard disk driver. When I play them on my laptop, I never find any soft picture.
