I don't use xbmx backup. Go to android>data>org.xbmc.xbmc>files>addons> the folders you need to copy are labeled: plugin.video.(name)>install your new xbmc and your add-ons then move the folders back into the place. Next do the same with the folders in xbmc.xbmc.org>files>userdata>addon_data>(here)

Since this is an "original" XBMC apk is anyone having trouble playing certain TS releases? XBMC force closes and it's still the case with this. The old SPMC and the official Ouya XBMC play them fine. Please don't let me be the only one!

:edit: Actually I figured it out! You have to disable "Allow hardware acceleration (MediaCodec)". I'm awesome!

I'd be interested in a sample of those ts files with makes xbmc crash with MediaCodec.

Yeah i think the brightness is low on Gotham version as well?Can anything be done about this @koying?

The brightness thingy is a firmware "issue/feature".

this would explain why all of the sudden all my videos are darker than dark in dark scenes...just submitted a request to OUYA if they can add a option to force limited rgb range...

Oh, right. The MPEG4/XVID/DIVX decoder on Nvidia does not support QPEL. libstagefright just disables h/w decoding of MPEG4 to avoid this issue.
Mediacodec shouldn't crash, though, but the alternative is a black screen
