So, the "official" dev console unboxing video has just been released and i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to discuss what you think about the things shown in the video. So here we go...
Am i the only one or do the gamepads look a bit "cheap"? I don't really know how to describe it but they just look like they will be kinda awkward to use in this video....
By the way: LOVE the transparent console! Now i want something like this. It looks so nerdy.... i want it
I think the special transparent plastic is what makes the controllers look cheap, it'll be interesting to compare against the final controllers. But the transparent console, THAT is sexy. Note that they said the final unit's case wouldn't be plastic...was she mis-speaking, or will this be a metal console? Ooo, I'd kill for a wooden console.
I agree about that controllers. They do look pretty cumbersome.
But then I liked the original massive Xbox pad once I had it in my hands.

Pity they only showed the ouya splash screen and nothing more when they plugged it into the tv.

Mind you, you see my android launcher when I go back to the menu, that's not normal. That was only happening because the OUYA Launcher was not the default Launcher on my device at the time.
Prefer the silver UI, the one they displayed in the Kickstarter... But wouldn't it be cool for those that get the limited "wood?" version, have a cool retro wooden UI?

I thought the unboxing was a little bit weak, yes its mainly only to show off the hardware but it seemed rushed and short to me. Oh well no big deal ODK is more important right now. Anyone know when the January shipments are suppose to go out, early, mid,late???
