    ps3 controllers & sleep

If this has been discussed before, I apologize for the double post. I noticed in the new update, you have the option to turn a controller off. Works great for the ouya controller, but not the ps3 controller. In fact, if I dont either cut off the console or manually turn the ps3 controller off, it will stay on until the battery goes dead.

Do you know if it is possible (and if so, do they plan on fixing this?) to turn off a PS3 controller either by time out or manually through the ouya menu?

As far as I know it is not possible to turn off a PS3 controller with the Ouya. As far as them "fixing" it, I don't see why they would devote time to it as it is not their controller. It's a bonus that other controllers work with the Ouya, not a requirement. Not to worry though, I'm sure some clever soul will put together an application to do it at some point.

I hope so. It is sad when I discover that my son has cut one of my controllers on and it sits there till the battery drains to zero.

Plug it in when you turn off the ouya is the only way I know. Terrible workaround though

Well, it will actually cut off when the Ouya powers down. But even then, I just use a paperclip to hit the rest button on the bottom before I power down and that shuts it off too. I actually had NO idea that there were reset buttons on the bottom, until I bought my Ouya. LOL

I always keep mine wired as this will keep it charged and make it compatible with more games (the keymap changes using a wired connection on some games like emulators).

To manually power down your ps3 pad, hold down the ps3/home button for 8 seconds. It will then turn off. If it's wired, it will turn off by itself.
