I love the update! Especially because of external USB (which I did not yet test wit the new update). But also the new UI is a relief for my eyes! Really! Well structured, gives peace on my mind. Before it, it was, well, a bit trashyHowever, since the last update Windows 7 mounts my OUYA as MTP device, but accessing its volume reveals emptieness. Nothing there. Someone reported this 5 days ago, so it must be something else, than the update, still, I did not have this issue before.
What I dislike is, that they still recommend me games in the "Must Play" and "Discover" sections, that I aleady own or, at least, have installed. Rather then putting a checkmark on it, they could remove it.
There should by animations in the backdrop, also backdrops should dynamically change. More social interactions, I guess, will come in a later version of the firmware. But it will be nice to have it. Also, I hope, that the updates now do not come out of the blue onto my system. It would nice from OUYA to ask.
Oh, and one very big grief: Why can't I use my external Bluetooth keyboard? I have in iMpulse controller, which emulates an external keyboard, this one gets added to the list of keyboards, while my real keyboard does not. Entering text is a pain in the ***. Also, why doesn't the user-dictionary help? I macro'ed my email address, but it does not complete it.
So, still not perfect. But NOW, when I look at it, it brings a smile to my face :-) This UI made me feel molested, without me even realizing it. It's so much more pro now.
Bye, Andreas
P.S. In case you were curious, you were Kickstarter backer number 5 for OUYA. Thank you for believing.
Has anyone reset their OUYA after the update? I get nothing from my OUYA now. only sometimes do I hear the fan for a few seconds
Nothing to complain about on my end now that I've updated. Seems like a one-hundred percent improvement.

I noticed some of the games didn't have the buy button in there details.
I have, it came back fine. You've powered completely off and back on I assume.
One thing I noticed that I don't like - it seems to do "scanning for applications" on the USB drive on each boot, which is annoying. Particularly because it can take so long - after moving a few things to USB the "scanning for applications" took well over 5 full minutes, seeming to mean that reboot now is 5+ minutes longer. That's a problem.
yeah i think that was mentioned in the release notes, they said there working on it.
