With OnLive being available there pretty much has to be a KB/M option. Sure some games can be played with controller or touch, but many need a KB/M.

I've always wondered why xbox and playstation never had them. I am a pc gamer and love KM. Controllers are good for certain kinds of games like arcade or sports, but fps is far superior on KM. Why pigeon hole your customers? I thought that's the entire goal of Ouya, to do away with all the pigeon holing!
It's confirmed now that certain KB/M combo's should work i believe.
I'm a big FPS gamer, converted from PC to console. I can say this, I felt like a boss playing CS then I moved on to Halo on Xbox. Controllers are so much harder, you are basically using two thumbs and your index fingers. Now on a PC think of all the extra movements you can do with your left hand, each finger has a job. So yeah Kb/M players are always going to out shoot console gamers, hands down. But I would love to have an option to use a Kb/M to browse web or whatever.
I almost didn't read this thread, but after seeing what you guys all brought up, I think they should have KBM support. Not to be used as standard game controllers, but as separate devices. If they're going to have a browser, it is a must. Navigating web pages is really lame without a mouse or at least a trackpad. I guess they could use the touchpad on the controller and make a detachable keypad like the 360 controllers have. Then you'd at least have the basics and wouldn't have to use thumbsticks to navigate or use onscreen keyboards. Those just suck. This reply would have taken an hour to type out scrolling from letter to letter across a screen. It might make a nice balance so you are restricted to a controller, but one that has some KBM abilities.

Saying to veto a input methodology because you do not like it is egotistical. Why not support KBM & gamepad? Why take away from gamers features and functionality they might prefer?
Ever try typing with any of those methods of input? VS a keyboard they do not stand a chance, especially if they want a development kit on the device. As for the rest of your argument its better to support more methods of input than less because everyone has their own preferences.
This thread is nearly a year old and the OUYA does support a keyboard and mouse. No real need to continue this thread.
