WHY!! All the hate?

Don't forget that a lot of console and next gen fanboys probably don't even know what a SNES and Genesis is. I tend to see Ouya owners as more of an older audience, as a whole, where as most of the big 3 snobs are probably younger as a whole. It is easy to hate on under powered hardware when a lot of them don't realize it is the amount of fun you get out of a game that counts, not polygon counts and frame rates.

This was the point I was gonna add later on as it's indeed what I see as the most annoying trend in my opinion. Nothing but infectious, spoiled-brats with dictator mentalities.

After reading quite a few things in comment sections about OUYA on various places around, I have come to the conclusion that most are just against the OUYA simply because it's the thing to do. Very few of them have valid points against OUYA, mainly kickstarters still not receiving their units or defective controllers/units. I just ignore them, and enjoy my own little ecosystem. I love the OUYA!

It is easy to hate on the Ouya if you just look at the surface. Most of the games look dated. You are limited to 8 GIG of space to save. Even some of the best games for the system are games that appeared on other systems years ago - Sonic, Final Fantasy 3. There are few must have games that are only on the Ouya. The customer service is mediocre at best. The controllers are not the best and a pain to switch batteries.

But if you look past the bad points you see that you have a system with a low entry point, a ton of games, great for emulators, growing access to movies, movies and books and a vibrant fan base. It still has a long way to go, but it is getting there.

If they havent tried it they most probbly dislike it because of the prejuice and misconceptions around it, and once they try it they might like it or not, depending on how the ride went

The thing that drives me up the wall is "I can just buy a bluetooth controller and plug my phone/tablet into the tv and there you go an ouya!" THAT gets me angry every time

Lol, I forgot about that one. Every time I read that particular comment (which is everywhere mind you) I just nod my head left and right with a smirk on my face. Goes to show that the internet is full of idiots.

I think people mainly hates it because the OS is Android and they started making fun of it saying "Why would I play Angry Birds and Plants vs Zombies on my tv?" Or "Why spend $99 when I could play emulators on my phone for FREE?!" All of that nonsense lead to "It's underpowered, my tablet/phone is stronger than this! So why would I get one?" They really missed the whole point of the Ouya because some people bad mouth the hell out of it because it's running off of Android. The whole argument started because of Android basically, then little ass no good spoiled ignoramus went around and spread all of these confusions, hate, and lies around. Some of you know ReviewTechUSA and he straight said it was doomed from the start. People like that only makes things worse by making others believe it's like the only truth. They keep comparing it to newer models or higher end models of phones and tablets as well as the next gen consoles which makes sense to do but it is not the right catagories to place it.
It's really hard to explain to a stubborn idiot why this is a good device, it's like polishing a turd.
