    Blank Internal Storage

    Hello All,

We were wondering if any of you could assist with what we hope is an easy solution. For some reason our Internal storage seems to no longer display items when connected to a PC via USB. We have tried everything we could think of and even went as far as a factory reset but can't seem to get it to show up (on any computer)

    Any thoughts?

Same happened to me, today. One of the most satisfying experiences, with the OUYA so far, was, that it immediatly showed up as MTP device, exposing all of its internal user-storage and not only the Pictures/DCIM whatever path. Today, after the latest update, it shows up, exactly as for you, but it is empty. I unplugged the power chord, unplugged the USB from the Win7 host, all to no avail.

Interesting. We have been going back and fourth with tech support. They gave me several steps including a full factory reboot using the ALT + Print Screen + I method but nothing is working, it's still showing 0 items. I also did the most recent update on the firmware but nada. Hopefully I can continue to work with support until I reach a resolution.

It's interesting to note, that your issue started before the current firmware update (which added external USB storage support, which might have been a hint) and my problems started after it. But the problem seems to be the same. So, most probably, nothing to do with the new firmware. And I did not change anything on my host's side (which is Win7). Maybe something we have installed on the OUYA? Here is what I have:

    xbmc on ouya
    hellworm
    kainy
    nostalgia
    order and chaos
    rose and time

    mirrormoonep
    fist of awesome
    minigore2:zombies
    bombsquad
    snes9ex+
    towerfall

    neo.emu
    nes.emu
    mae4droid
    gba.emu
    fpse
    2600.emu
    c64.emu

I did not yet start half of them and had the system running fine with most of them. If you want you could compare them to your installed apps and, maybe, maybe only, if we try uninstalling those, we both have in common, we may find a hint.

I did a factory reset of the OUYA using the ALT + PRINT + I method. This didn't restore the folders that were created from within the OUYA console such as the folder that the Mpun64Plus app creates to hold roms but it did allow me to create new folder from Windows which can be seen in the OUYA with FilePwn.

It's almost like the OUYA created files are hidden system files that cannot be seen in Windows now. Very weird.

I'm having the same issue here and i'm not even having the usb debugging on. I turned it off and sometimes when connecting micro usb cable to my computer it loads everything and other times it doesnt.

This is really frustrating and really messing up my enjoyment of using the Ouya.

I hope the next update fixes this.

I had the same issue.i sideloaded dead trigger 2 and moved it to the external hddrive, but it didn't show the andriod folder that has data and obb folder.what I did that fixed it and fixed it for internal storage on ouya was use es file browser.copy a file while your in it and drop it in the section that is blank for you .for example when you go to your internal sd card storage while hooked to your PC with chord and shows no folders at all .follow my steps and copy a folder to sd card paste it there.hook cable up an tada all folders start showing up.while your there you can delete the file you pasted.this works with same issue on external hardrive.
