I know, but the difference is that now it's PS4 and not PS3. Sharpen the pitchforks!

Personally see it as good news, now that other devs can see that if a great game is published on a small system and gets decent sales it will get noticed more if it were just published on googleplay, now he has chance to pocked some more money, hopefully more devs will release their games first in Ouya in the same hope theirs will get noticed too, nothing wrong with being a test bed for great games, Ouya users benefit, i see no reason to be bitter.

Exactly. Now when people see Towerfall on PS4 people can say,"That was born on the OUYA." OUYA being open like this kind of makes it like Kickstarter. Developers can put their games on here first, get some funding, show there is a demand for it, and then it gets launched on other consoles. This is why I see no issue with keeping exclusives. If every single exclusive game ends up on other consoles that is created first on the OUYA then that is a good thing. That would be a lot of games where people can say,"Those were born on the OUYA." So, OUYA has no problems with exclusives as long as they get them first and they are so open that they are bound to get many. Even if a game was first on Google Play but gets a good console port on the OUYA first, it could prove that the game belongs on a console and then OUYA launches them too to other consoles. If developers think of OUYA as the console where console games are born then developers will bring them here first and when gamers see games that were born on the OUYA on other consoles then they would know that they can get new games earlier if they buy an OUYA. Towerfall getting on PS4 proves that the idea behind the OUYA is correct and that it works. OUYA isn't just televising the revolution from the OUYA but now from the PS4 too. That isn't an OUYA failure. That is an OUYA commercial.

There could also be the 'hide Ouya's existence' angle which is a stance I'm sure a lot will take since they want to bury it.
Hopefully it can push its way into the conversation with Towerfall but Towerfall has to make it also. Can't be like 1000s of XBLIG games which were either crap or ignored.

I don't think they can hide Ouya's existence where Towerfall is concerned. The game received a 9/10 in a full page review in Game Informer magazine. It's already been exposed to thousands of gamers with Gamestop accounts as an Ouya game.

But the XBLIG section was, for a very long time, almost hidden by MS... And drowned in the crap you mentioned. I know a lot of XBL users who never checked the XBLIgames.

And I must say, even the games of questionable quality on OUYA are usually way better than most indie games on Xbox. Somehow, there were a LOT of terrible games up there.

Towerfall for Ouya was added to Humble Bundle and its $5 cheaper if anyone wants to pick it up. Seems odd they are selling it for Ouya though lol

The reason for that is very simple, XBLIG required a $100 license fee. Devs needed to get that money back as quick as they could so often released a poor quality title very quickly in order to get their investment back. Ouya has no up front cost for development so devs are not starting at a $100 loss.

    Humble Bundle Towerfall
Dropped by just to see if this was being discussed.

This is a much bigger problem for OUYA than a port is. Towerfall for OUYA is now being sold through a separate store, for less money at the moment. Humble Bundle has launched a storefront, so this is not a one time deal. If more devs follow suit it will be very bad for OUYA, very bad.

OUYA could still be getting their cut, though.
