How long do your batteries last?

I haven't changed the batteries in my OUYA controller ever since I got it 4 months ago, so I was wondering how often do you guys change the batteries in your controllers?

I play at least 3 hours a day or more. My batteries last about 3 months or so. It's always surprising when I think about it, and It doesn't cross my mind often. :-)

I'm surprised as well because I bought replacement batteries one day when I was having a Sunday TowerFall tournament, but those batteries are still in their original packaging :-)
How can you tell that you need to replace batteries? Does a controller have a light signal or does it simply stop working?

I have only had to replace mine once, but for me, I would turn the controller on and then it would just turn right back off.

Every two days. I shop at the dollar store for batteries because they're expensive and me along with my roommate use them with everything. Yeah...

My controller's first and last led lights would blink constantly when they needed changing. I was still able to use my controller like that for 3 days until I could get batteries.

The batteries that came in the OUYA box lasted me till last month. I swapped them with a very old pair of re-chargeable batteries that I used for my 360's controller and I've only charged them once, and that was before putting them in the OUYA controller.

People, get re-chargeable batteries. I've had mine for years now.
