Maximum Overkill - Rosalia Studio

Hi guys!
We're Rosalila Studio and we just released Maximum Overkill's demo on the Ouya platform.
We are really exited to develop on the Ouya platform because it is an open console and so far the platform itself and the Ouya staff has only made us feel like going further.

Maximum Overkill is a bullet hell game made with the Rosalila STG Engine. This project is licensed as GPL so everyone is free to use, distribute, modify and make they own games as a derivative work.



Features

• Fight as the Iguro ship against the Feminist Kill Bot
• Choose between Easy, Medium and Hard mode
• Press O, U, Y or A to fire different attacks
• Press L to slow down and R to speed up
• Press a trigger to the time slow effect and both to double effect

Yes, it is and will be free. When we finish the game we'll charge 1$ if you want to contribute with us trough the Ouya platform and you'll have acess to Ouya's update system, otherwise we'll provide an apk with the same full version so you can sideload it and the source code and assets so you can modify it and do whatever you want.

Yeah, I've been keeping tabs on you *stalker* I'm 99.99% sure you noticed lol.

I like to do that, don't want to miss out on cool projects like this one. As soon as a dev posts a project, I'm one of the first peeps to take a peek at it.

I actually played the game just now and it's really smooth. I haven't encountered many smooth games on the OUYA, I can only think of one other game that's just as smooth as this one. I beat the first robot but the second one killed me. I can't get past the second one for some reason. I'm playing on Easy mode too... Maybe I just suck at this lol. The art is also pretty, I dig this game.

The final version will also have story mode, similar to the visual novels.
We're a small team and we want to develop a lot of new features but that will depend on the support we receive trough indiegogo so we can hire more coders, designers, muscicians etc..

Yeah, that's the spirit. Also it shows that GPL software is more than enough to develop a game.
