I tried this game and it is atmospheric but I couldn't really work out what was going on or what I was supposed to do - even allowing for following the light...

Haven't finished it yet, but sadly the lagging and the awkward platform jumping are often a source of frustration for me.

However, I would like to see the end of this game, as I have a couple of ideas what it may actually be about:

It's either domestic abuse, rape or AIDS. Maybe it's just me, but the red little platforms look a lot like red blood cells and occasionally I notice these weird looking green geometric shapes rushing towards the camera. They look a lot like the general shape of the AIDs virus. So I'm very heavily leaning towards the latter, though I may be totally off. Like how that house seems to play a major role in all this. And the voices. Oh man, the voices...

Judoka - Yeah, it's a source of frustration for me too! I'm working on it!

tl;dr explanation: Basically, I try to manage the framerate by 'breathing' the draw distance of the camera, so that the world that you can see shrinks and grows constantly. I like the effect it has, but the downside is that as soon as the lighting rig changes, there's a big performance hit and it takes a few frames to catch up, which results in the annoying stutter that occurs... I'm smoothing it out by gradating the draw distance better, and managing it at a higher rate overall to give a bit of leeway. As for the awkward platforming, the next version will 'Z-Target' the light with the left trigger, so it should make it easier and a little bit more free flowing.

As for your thoughts on the plot:

    They're white blood cells

Nice knowing that you're working on providing a sleeker experience to the title. The game itself does have a very unique and pretty bizarre if not frightening atmosphere at times, and it's a damn shame that a few little irks kind of ruin the immersion.

And thanks for clearing that up in regards to the plot, now all I need to do is rattle my brain and see what biological links the game actually has and see if there's some kind of huge reveal at it's completion.
