No seems like https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/3600 either wasn't in the latest nightly or didn't fix the dependencies issue. So you're not alone

This occupies a separate namespace than the OUYA branded version, as such they should be fine existing side-by-side

thanks for the great work guys
This might have been fixed in today's build 10.11.2013 as it seems to have fixed a number of add-on deps here, check the first page as I keep the latest build available via that link.

It is part of the build that is currently available above.

I installed the latest nightly on osx and still got dependencies issues, might've resolved some of them but obviously not all of them.

I'm not that familiar with android; Do launchers run in the background even when apps are opened; i.e. would the stock ouya launcher run in the background when opening xbmc in the usual way? If so, that would mean we could see a performance boost from setting xbmc as launcher right?

So I can go back to default. That's good. I speculate that the uninstallation is just as easy as uninstalling any other game or app. I would like to be completely sure about this before jumping in.

If you set this to be the launcher and restart the OUYA completely then the OUYA launcher will not be loaded, you can still load it manually in XBMC if you need to download/uninstall a game.

As for running in the background, the XBMC app should terminate when you switch to a game and then re-launch when you exit the game/app.

Uninstall can be done via the OUYA menu or the advanced settings app just like any other app.

Okay, I think I'm ready to jump in now. I'll report back any issues

Read through this thread but still a little confused... Is there a way to install the launcher version with the skin widgets fix? I ruin xperience1080 but hate the failing widgets. I also want to run xbmc as my primary launcher. Forgive my ignorance. I know xbmc but not github.
Also when I tried to install the launcher version in the op, I got an error about same app with different signature. Anyone ever get this? I don't want to blow my xbmc settings away. Still getting used to xbmc on ouya. Been running on windows for a long time...

If you already have a sideloaded version of XBMC installed then you will need to remove it before you install this one, there is not a way around that. As for the skin widgets, this is working in the version on the OP.

I removed the sideloaded version of xbmc and installed the one from the OP but it keeps crashing. I also loaded the Xperience1080 skin from the OP but nothing is working. Hard to explain but it looks really screwed up. I'll try to take a pic and post.
