    OUYA stuck in customs

Hi, can anybody help with some information, I had given up on my kickstarter OUYA, thinking it was lost in the Portuguese postal and customs system. However it has resurfaced! I had been asked to provide proof of purchase many months ago and I tried to explain the kick starter process without luck. Now I have to complete a declaration of value for customs.

My question is, I know the retail unit is 95 pounds sterling on amazon, but can anyone tell me the shipping value given for the backer OUYA console's, I am sure I have seen 49 USD referenced somewhere?

    Thanks in advance!

    AW: OUYA stuck in customs

I believe you'll be fine with a printout of the OUYA.tv order page. They just need to know the worth of the product, it's interestingly not as important what you actually paid for it.

E.g., when I received a replacement controller (free of charge, of course), I still had to pay customs based on what it's worth.

Appreciate the replies, but I think both misunderstood my question.

I have to give a honorary declaration of value for my backers ouya console, I know the value of the retail editions, this is not a retail I backed ouya in july 2012 for 150 USD, this gave me the ouya + controller + international shipping so do not to declare 150USD.
I prefer not to lie on the form, but I want to declare the proper sample unit value that was attributed to the backers editions, ouya.tv support has not been very forth coming with any help thus far.

Can any backers let me know what their packaging said the value was?

Mine got stuck on customs as well, here in Argentina. I just showed the invoice from PayPal and I was good to go. I suposse you can just show a print of the invoice where you got your discount (PayPal or Amazon, whatever you arre suing you should have received an invoice)

Most of the times, at least here, they dont care the value on the store, because they know sometimes people buy stuff from external stores (like eBay, Amazon, etc) or sometimes the items are used, or have discounts for one or another reason, etcetera. They just ask for the invoice from the moment you paid for it.
