I have been playing it for a day or two now and I must say I'm having fun. At first I thought the ship's movements were a little bit too sluggish, it feels like a hassle to dodge enemy fire which often is the best part of a shoot 'em up. But then I realized this is not a shoot 'em up in the traditional sense, it's something else completely. I have spent a couple of hours leveling up, spending points, earning cash and yeah - consider me addicted to this.

I'm not sure if I can make it through the game without making any IAP, but in-game currency is not an issue anymore since I leveled up "fortune" like crazy. Hehe.

I must admit the maneuvering is a bit more clunky on the OUYA, it may be lag on the part of the controller becuase it doesn't appear to be a CPU performance issue. I was able to get it dialed in really well on my dev PC with an xbox 360 USB controller but once there tends to be some small delay that makes movement a bit cumbersome. I will continue to try and find a way to improve this in future builds. you are right though, movement is not your only defense, and ultimately you will want to be using shields almost all the time in the higher missions and difficulties.

I'm very glad to hear you enjoy it! It is certainly not a traditional shmup, its intended to be a "grinding" type game, those are the kinds I always loved and found the most addicting. Thanks for the compliments and for playing!

This game is addicting. Very addicting. Thanks for bringing this over to the Ouya!

The little bit of controller lag doesn't take away from the game at least, something I was happy about. After an hour or so I just got used to it, haha!
Man, I am burning through shields like a fiend though. Anything past level 27 just wastes your armor.
