    Serious Controller Lag

I have two Ouya controllers and they have some serious issues. I can normally get them both to sync with the Ouya, the only problem is that they keep lagging. It only happens to one of them at a time though. Then, every so often, the one controller will stop lagging and the other one will. It's almost a 2 second lag too... Any thoughts?

Poor blue tooth connection. Does the lag happen if the controllers are 12inches from the the OUYA?

    1. Make sure you have good line of sight with the controllers and the OUYA
    2. Turn the OUYA on its side.

I spent two days rewriting and debugging my OUYA game Dead Dark because of terrible controller lag, this would always happen after about 10 minutes of game-play. The problem was after playing Dead Dark for a while I would lean back in my computer chair and my hands with the OUYA controller would be under my computer desk and the inference of the desk was causing controller lag(face palm).

I've tried playing with the controllers really close to the Ouya but they still lag. There isn't anything in between the controllers and the Ouya, that was the first thing I tried when this started. It still lags a ton though...

This happens to me as well. My controller used to work perfectly, but these last days I have experienced two-three seconds of input lag rather frequently (rendering games unplayable). Nothing have changed, I hold the controller straight in front of my console, four feet away with fresh batteries as always. But the controller just seems to give up.

Yeah this definitely needs to be addressed. Happens on both controllers I have after about 10-20 minutes worth of play. Regardless of how new batteries are. Extremely aggravating. I also have a wired 360 controller but one shouldn't HAVE to resort to using a third party controller over the stock one. Esp at 50 bucks a pop. Love the console but the controller situation is unacceptable.

I've asked before, but never really gotten an answer.... Has anyone experienced the lag issue with either XBox or PS3 controllers (wireless?) I've gotten lag on my Ouya controller a few times, sometimes it is very quick... other times is seems like a good 1 second off... and will last for about 10 seconds. The only reason I ask, is I used 4 PS3 controllers for about 2 hours last weekend on the Ouya and never experienced any lag. So, I'm assuming this problem is just with the Ouya controller?

    AW: Serious Controller Lag

@Nadious - Yes, the PS3 wireless controllers perform better. I believe they use a different BT protacol, Ouya went for energy saving, PS3 didn't. The Xbox 360 wireless controllers don't work with the Ouya, unless you have a USB dongle, which I don't.

It's interesting that this comes up again. I had terrible lag in july and august, the updates helped a little, my new controller (through RMA) seemed even more solid. The last couple days, my lag was really bad, and I thought maybe I had been too optimistic.

Now it seems like it could be a new issue that introduces the lag again for several people. I noticed that my connection is very dependent on line of sight. Where I had a slight disturbance before, e.g. when the controller sank beneath the table, the Ouya gets NO signal right now. None whatsoever.

I'll try new batteries, but since it comes up with you guys, too...
Do you also have the impression it's gotten worse since a couple of days (up to 2 weeks, wasn't playing much)?

I have clear line of sight. I get bad lag ramdomly in 4 games the rest no problem.
I belief this can be fixed with software. Due to the fact it does not happen in every game.

    Order & Chaos lag

    Avp lag

    neon shadow lag

    Wraithborne lag

All random. It can last up to 10 secs and it is very annoying.

I bought my second ouya in the beginning of november and at first thought I got one of the new controllers I hope I didnt.
