Reminder emails

I don't know if this forum has such a thing, but does it have 'reminder emails', as I would call them? For example, if a user doesn't hop online for some time, an email can pop out reminding him about the forum. I ask this because I just got an email from another community and it seems like something smart to do. Here's more or less what I got in my email.

Hey oO Flowzilla Oo, we've been missing you at *Disneyland*.

Many things have been happening in our community since your last visit:

in 2013, we did a dozen ninja releases dedicated to the Playstation Vita, and there's more coming very soon: *Pepperoni pizza* is right around the corner, and it would be a shame to miss it!

The next gen consoles are also coming soon, and our community is definitely excited about the PS4 and the Vita TV. We'll be closely following the possibility of these devices.

The Thanksgiving and Christmas period is typically a huge time of the year for the scene, and we're looking forward to it this year too!
