    How does your Ouya travel?

Curious as to those that take their Ouya around with them, how do you do it? Do you have a designated case that you put it in, do you just pack it in a bag? As small as it is and easy as it is to carry around, I have found myself wanting to take it with me a lot of place that I go. I'm taking it with me tonight to a video game party, but I bring it to work a lot as well. (Yes, I can get away with here where I work. LOL.)

Recently, I've been trying to find ways to make my Ouya transportation a little easier. It's not the Ouya it is everything I take with it that is the problem. I have at least 5 controllers (4 PS3 and I have to take the main Ouya controller, in case a game doesn't support it...), a 3.5" 120 gig HDD (which is soon to be replaced with a 128gig flash drive... on the way) in an external case, usb hub, cables and power adapter. I've tried carrying it around in my laptop bag, but the size of the cube makes it bulge out a little bit, because of the way the bag is designed.

So... LOL... about two week ago, while in the garage looking for some stuff, I came across and old Medela breast pump in a bag that my wife had used when my son was born. (I know, some of you are like... uh.. TMI.) The pump had broken awhile back and, obviously, isn't being used. I began to look at the bag and thought: Hey, this would make a PERFECT travel bag for my Ouya! So, I took the small pump unit out and put my Ouya stuff in there. I now have a bag that holds all of my controllers, HDD, Ouya, and cables and it travels around pretty good.

When my wife came home that evening, she saw the bag sitting on the fireplace mantel and said: "Where did you get that bag?" So, I told her the story and showed her the Ouya all packed inside. She laughed and said: "You DO realize that if any woman out there sees you with that bag, they will know instantly where it came from?"

Well, that's just a risk I have to take. LOL It's so nice to be able to easily transport this stuff around and have all the room I need, while not taking up a lot of space in a bag.

So, do any of you sport your Ouya around often and if so, what do you use?

I remember a post that someone made in the Italian side of OUYAForum. He made a suitcase specifically for the OUYA. Can't understand much of the description, but it looks kewl. I personally don't take my OUYA anywhere. If it moves, it's from one side of my room to the other.

Now, THAT is cool. I'd have to cut mine a little different to put the three extra controllers in there, but man... that's very awesome looking.

I usually take a bag or rucksack and put it in, if I take it to friends. However, now that I took it into my airplane suitcase, I put it into a cardboard box which is just big enough for 1 Ouya and 2 controllers, and I also used some bubble wrap to protect it. Also because I have that nice wooden skin on the Ouya, I wouldn't want it to get shabby.

I carry mine around in its original box, which since I got a devkit kickstarter version, has enough space for two controllers, the console and a load of wires. It's the size of a shoebox, so takes up most of the space in my medium-sized backpack. That's annoying, as I have to slip other things around the size of the OUYA box, and sometimes the box gets dents or scratches from other things floating around in my bag with it.

On the plus side, even after all that, it's really quite light

The other thing is that the box is slowly getting worn out. The cardboard frame inside for holding the console and controllers keeps popping out of place and is quite fragile atm, and I kinda want to keep it as a souvenir. I figure at some point I'll get a retail OUYA, since they are relatively cheap, and use that as my "on-the-road" device, keeping the old one in the house for development work

I too have a suitcase, I call it my "Instand Ouya-Funkit"
Just cutted some styrofoam (the one that doesn't make a mess) in the right shapes and put it in, no glue needed.
Because everything has its spot, I never forget something.

I even have space for my mini-projector, so I can play everywhere dark with electricity and a white wall.
This day is grim, it is raining. What wonderful weather for Gaming!

rough translation by my rust italian:

"Okay, my OUYA arrived, beautiful and all, but it's time for the modding and the custom accessories!
For now, I have constructed a case to "transport" the OUYA around."

    [2 pictures:]

"Here, the template is being built to produce your own custom cover."*

    [Picture]

"I will keep you updated, but I invite you to post your own mods!"

*I think this is right, but this sentence was very foreign to me. I didn't quite understand it fully, but this is a translation to the best of my ability.

I rolled the ouya and controller in shirts and packed them like everything else in my suitcase.

I just throw it in a small backpack. Since it has two pockets, the Ouya and the controllers go in the big one and all the cables are placed inside the small one.
