Soul Grinder - Zombiesaurus Games

Hey, chaps n' chappettes. Thought you might wanna check out Soul Grinder, an arcade shmup we've just released on Ouya. It's free, so snag it up n' let us know what you think.

There are 2 modes.
The default (just 'Play') was designed to use the Ouya's pad, and is a bit easier than the original game we put out on iOS a few months ago. This plays like a standard shmup, you move with the stick and shoot with the O button.
Classic mode is plays like the iOS version. The sticks only move you up n' down, you shoot with O n' boost forward with any shoulder button. You can't move backwards, you have to wait for the screen to catch up with you. This is way tougher n' it's the version I prefer to play.

I played this last night. i really enjoyed the gameplay ,and art style ,but the level design kept making me want to play it like contra/metal slug jumping from platform to platform while shooting instead of flying over them. That's just me though still good game

Haven't gotten very far in it yet since I haven't had much time to play lately, but I'm really digging what I have made it through on this. Love the art style.

I downloaded the game, but the game doesn't respond to my gamepad. Not even the trackpad. I tried to see if I could use a mouse to start the game but it wouldn't work either. Is it just me?

Hmm... that's a bit mad, Loey. It works with our gamepads. We've got an Ouya each n' we've tested it on both. We prefer playing it with a wired 360 pad though. We'll have a mess about it with it n' see if we can replicate your problem.
