I think they should remove Crest Of War and a ton of other games. While the good games DO rise to the top of discover, I think Ouya is really looking to capitalize on numbers. The thing with Crest is, if it stays in Discover it may still make money from people who think they will be able to play online/someday get a completed game out of the deal, which is unethical and a good reason to remove a game.

The Crest of War beta is fine to keep up on Ouya as long as the developers do not charge for it any longer. If they do not alter this Ouya should remove it completely.

That's definitely the way to go, especially since there are cases where "this crashes" or some similarly terrible issue is not broadly experienced by users. It would suck to remove a game that works for 99.9% of users just because a handful report an issue. One has to be very careful about removing games from Discover.

Yes, remove(don't allow) buggy games. The developer should get a warning because all crashes and bugs may not be detected before the release of their game, also system updates may cause a problems with games previously released. A Beta should be marked clearly as a beta in a beta section but I have no problem with people releasing a beta onto the store. If the touch pad is used as a lazy port then that's just shameful of the developers, If the touch pad is used for clever controls for a game then good job developers(I personally don't like the touch pads I find it very laggy and hard to use but I would never use a touch pad on a laptop either).

There should also be a level of quality, polish and content for a game to be accepted into the store.

I know it is an open console for every one to develop on but there still needs to be a basic level of professionalism or it will turn off professional developers.

Many of you seem to disregard this:

"Please don't mention any games specifically here because I want this to be about a general policy not specific games or developers. Thanks."

My opinion on the matter is yes.

Re: Should OUYA remove buggy/unplayable games from the DISCOVER?

My answer would have to be yes.

    My answer is also yes.
I also would like to see a Beta section in the Discover store. I just want to say I like and look foreword to Beta apps.

To be honest, removing the ability to talk about games that should/shouldn't be removed negates any prompt at discussion. The only answer is yes or no. If we want to talk and discuss the issue, we need examples to draw from.

I only used a positive specific example of what games should have.

I think devs should be notified that their game is no longer up to standards and be required to release a new version that complies with standards of not crashing, not relying on touchpad etc. They should have a week or two to respond and another week or two to address the issues. Then the game is taken off discover with an open invitation to resubmit the game with issues addressed. I don't believe standards of quality should be tightly enforced as I like the Ouya market being very open but technical standards should be tightly adhered to. Stuff that is buggy and forgotten by the developer should be cleaned out.

Betas should be allowed if it's a polished open beta or demo. However, there should be a system allowing for potentially buggy betas to be done directly through Ouya though in the meantime just hand out apk files to testers to get issues worked out. Buggy barely playable betas shouldn't be lumped in with everything else.

Sandbox does already sort things out to a degree especially with the bury feature but it would be a good idea to clean out heavily problematic games to minimize bad perception of Ouya games. No one should search through the discover section and find games that flat out don't work.
